barbeque
We have BBQs usually on summer nights. We have sausages pork chicken and steak. Some people eat outside and some people eat the bbq inside.
how often do you get earthquakes?
Quite a lot especialy since the fault line is on the motorway. The biggest earthquake in New Zealand was in the Wairarapa in the 1860's and it was 8.4. A more recent earthquake was in Christchurch last year,it was 7.1 .People say that the after shocks could be going for a year.No people died. the biggest earthquake I've been In was about 4.5.There have been lots of 1.1 earthquakes during day and night.

What kind of animals do we have? Are there any dangerous animals?
ARE THERE ANY DANGEROUS ANIMALS IN NZ? We have hippo's, (in the Wellington zoo) they are quite fascinating because they jump around alot and make lots of noise.
Guess what? hippo's are more dangerous than lions!
We also have the Katipo spider, they are poisonous spiders. The katipo spider is black with a red stripe down the middle.
And another poisonous spider called the White Tale because it has a white tale.
The White Tale is a black spider that is poisonous because if it bites you it will sting alot!!!!! Guess what? White Tales are so venomous (venomous means poisonous) that they can sometimes kill you!!!!!!!!
The Great White Shark is also dangerous but not as the other three that we have talked about. Not always they are dangerous sometimes they can be harmless, because once there was a man who was taking photos of the shark and the shark got annoyed, so the shark very sadly... BIT OFF HIS LEG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

we practically have the same animals as you, but we have also got other ones that you don't have like... kiwis that is one of our native birds ( that no other country has in the world!) it is a small bird that cant fly but has rather small wings.
it is nocturnal. we have the hector dolphin which is also native and lives near somes island. we have kea's (they like shiny stuff!!!!!). the morepork is an owl it is also native it is called a morepork because it says morepork alot!!!!!!! we have a penguin that is native as well!!!!

clothes and tempreture
Well Wellington is a pretty cold place winters are really cold but not as cold as England. We usaly get around 15 or 14 degres in Winter.In Summer we get about 19 or 20 degres.
We don't wear a uniform so we can wear whatever we want usaly denim jeans in winter and shorts and skirts for summer with t-shirts of course, some of us wear tights. We also wear dress's in Summer.

do we have school dinners\what sports do we do
we don't have school dinners,instead we bring our lunch in lunch box's.
We do touch rugby,soccer,hockey,netball etc.
we go swimming in the eastbourne pool 3 times a week on Tuesday,Thursday and Friday

What is a school day like? Subjects Assemblies and Golden rules.
Our main subjects are Maths Reading Writing Inquiry and Art.Our golden rules are we have to wear sunhats we aren't allowed to ride things with wheels until after 3:15.Our Assemblies are about an hour an 15 minutes.We get certificates with lots of stickers.A school day is 6 hours it starts at 9 and finishes at 3.

In Eastbourne, Wellington[capital of new zealand]. The name of our school is Muritai.Muritai has 400 people in the school.Eastbourne is a small village,it's between the sea and the hills.
